The Reading Central Corps of the Salvation Army has been participating at the Reading Festival for 34 years. This festival has become something of a British institution, an icon in the arena of music festivals and is attended by music fans, both young and old, from all over the world. Every year the festival gets bigger and better.

We had a good supply of willing helpers in 2006
At the first festival in 1971, we had two urns of soup and 300 rolls to give out to fans, in return - sometimes - for a voluntary contribution, whilst driving round the site in the corps mini bus! We have expanded somewhat over the years and now operate on site in a 30’ x 30’ customised marquee. We also have our own generator and water supply.
