Holy week was celebrated in its usual manner. Starting on Palm Sunday our meetings were led by Divisional Commander, Major Christine Bailey. Monday evening saw a departure from the normal as we took part in a typical Jewish passover meal.

On Tuesday evening the Sunday School took responsibility for the meeting and using video clips from "The lion, the witch and the wardrobe", drew parallels with the easter events. The Young People's band and Singing Company took part as did a vocal trio.

On Wedneday a group from Reading Central visited Swindon for a concert presented by Pasadena (USA) Songsters.

It was the turn of the band and the songsters to lead worship on Thursday evening and they presented Easter music from their repertoires.

The morning meeting on Good Friday was led by Major Edgar and the band, songsters and singing company took part. In the evening a small group met for worship under the leadership of Lt Col. Alan Atherton.

The walking fellowship held one of its walks on Saturday and 19 people enjoyed a time of fellowship and walked across the countryside for four and a half miles.

Easter Day was a day of celebration and we saw the hall decorated with flowers. Major Edgar led the morning worship, which included a video clip of the Easter story, a vocal soloist and a time for children (led by Elaine Davey).

In the evening of Easter Day Steve Atherton led us in a meditation making extensive use of audio-visual media.
